Transju Track-Talk – January 8, 2015
Following last weekend’s heavy rainfall, a good part of our traditional track took a hit and is no longer skiable.
We are still skiing in the massifs: Massacre, Risoux and Mont Noir and they are maintained daily by the track crew.
Low temperatures have permitted to produce snow at the 3 snow culture sites: the Nordic stadium in Les Tuffes (CNSNMM), Les Marmousets in Bois d’Amont (Sogestar) and at the Nordic Combined World Cup venue in Chaux-Neuve (CNSNMM).
Starting next week and depending on the weather forecast, snow production will begin near the finish area in Mouthe.
The 10-day weather forecast is predicting significant snow falls by January 19.
