Transju Track-Talk – January 21, 2014
Recent snowfall has once again covered the Transjurassienne tracks in a blanket of white from start to finish.
The connections between the two massifs (Risoux and Massacre) as well as the last kilometers between Chaux-Neuve and Mouthe are still not skiable but we remain optimistic with moderate snowfalls in the weather forecast for the next few days and more consequent snowfalls for the end of the week.
Negative temperatures are also predicted so artificial snow making will start up again in our 4 main snowmaking areas: Les Tuffes, Bois d’Amont and Chaux-Neuve and at the finish in Mouthe.
Our back-up Kassboher have arrived as of yesterday and have already been put into action to reinforce the different areas in need along the Transjurassienne track.
