Kangaroo Hoppet

Two stamps in one trip: Summer time skiing at Kangaroo Hoppet and Merino Muster

The winter season is over. For now. But not for long. End of August the next Worldloppet race is standing on the program already. With a journey to Australia and New Zealand two stamps in your passport are possible.

The Kangaroo Hoppet in Falls Creek/Australia is going to take place on August 26th. As the Merino Muster in Wanaka/New Zealand is going to take place only a week later on September 2nd, combining both races is reasonable. Once you are making a long trip to Down Under… Both race destinations are easily reachable by public transportation (e.g.: Bus service from Melbourne to Falls Creek). But not only because it is reasonable such an Australia/New Zealand trip is recommended. It is also an unforgettable experience.

Last year, Gunnar from the Worldloppet office has made the journey to two of the Worldloppet “summer” races and showed his trip in several Video-Blog Episodes:

Early bird entries are open

Both races, the Kangaroo Hoppet and the Merino Muster offer an early bird entry. Early booking is recommended for this trip anyway as also the flights, accommodation and public transportation is cheaper in advance.

The Merino Muster is additionally offering all-inclusive travel packages. Definitely the best way to have no worries when travelling to Wanaka. Participants just have to focus on enjoying the Merino Muster.
