Ushuaia Loppet 2024 opened the new Worldloppet Season today
“This was the hardest edition of Ushuaia Loppet so far!”, said a podium skier from today’s Worldloppet Ski Marathon in Argentina. Indeed the conditions were everything else than easy: Over the past days the weather was wet and warm, which turned the well prepared tracks in a slushy, partwise icy, course. Additionally snow-rain and heavy winds made life hard for the 150 skiers in Tierra del Fuego today.

The strongest among all the brave skiers were Victor Santos from Brazil and Kirsten Gjere from the USA. About 50 skiers from all around the world have collected a stamp to their Worldloppet Passport today.
