Worldloppet Annual General Meeting took place in Olympic City Sapporo
This weekend the delegates of the Worldloppet member nations have gathered in the olympic city Sapporo in Japan. The host of this year’s Annual General Meeting was the Sapporo Ski Marathon.

Beside decision making for the upcoming ski marathon seasons and confirming the race calendar for the next two years the most important topic was the election of a new President for the Skifederation. Ben Popp from the American Birkebeiner got elected and is going to be the highest representative in marathon skiing for the upcoming 4 years.

Also topics like ways for a sustainable future for Worldloppet and its member races, or emergency plans for race cancellations due to the climate were discussed. Of course, also a visit at the Olympic facilities could not miss on the agenda.
Now the three races on the southern hemisphere are next on Worldloppet’s program: Ushuaialoppet, Kangaroo Hoppet and Merino Muster.
