Worldloppet Makes Northernmost Ski Museum International

From now on, Worldloppet is present at probably the northernmost ski museum. 250 km north of the Artic Circle in the Finnish Lapland there is Europe’s northernmost full-scale ski resort located: Saariselkä.  200 km prepared ski tracks, 34 of them illuminated, and 15 slopes for downhill skiing and snowboarding.

Two local Worldloppet Masters initiated this section and offered their Worldloppet diplomas, medals, bibs, pins, etc. whatever they were able to find. The Worldloppet office also added some items and information about the international federation for marathon-skiing.

“We wanted to add some international flavour to the museum and also promote Worldloppet which has given us so many wonderful experiences around the world.”, says Matti Vanhanen, initiator of the Worldloppet section at the ski museum Saariselkä.
