Vasaloppet China appropriate start of winter 2022
This morning hours (09:00 am local time) the Vasaloppet China has been started. 400 Chinese skiers hit the tracks in Jingyuetan Park near Changchun under almost minus 20 degrees. While some skiers are still out there concluding their 50 km classic technique race, the winners of 2022’s Vasaloppet China are already preparing for the big celebration banquette this evening.
The fastest woman today was Li Lei from team Changchun Winter Tube Center Bao, followed by her team mate Wang Yingying (+ 52sec). Third place goes to Song Shengdi who arrived to the finish 2min2sec later.
In the men’s race Bao Lin was the fastest today. The pro skier from Inner Mongolia Provincial Team crossed the finish line 1min27sec ahead of second placed Zhang Chenghao. Third place goes to Tang Qinghe.
The virtual Vasaloppet China is still going on and registration is still possible.
