While the German Oberammergau was hosting the FIS Worldloppet Cup stage 3 this weekend at the König Ludwig Lauf, a second Worldloppet race took place. 1700 international skiers gathered in Sapporo, Japan, for the Sapporo Skimarathon 2019.
Around 2000 skiers from different nations took part in this year’s Sapporo Skimarathon. The gold medals remain in Japan.
This Sunday, 4th February, the Japanese Worldloppet race is going to take place. The tracks are prepared & the organizers wait for more snow to come.
This weekend the 37th Sapporo International Skimarathon took place. It was a great day of marathon skiing for 1742 participants.
