There is enough snow, the course is close to ideal: a good pillow, a wide track, dangerous areas worked out”, said Igor Samoilov, the director of Demino Marathons. “This year we changed the starting area and cut the tracks to ensure social distance.”, he continues.

The peloton of the race was made up of famous athletes, winners of previous years. Among them are 2006 Olympic champion in duathlon and the current track record holder Evgeny Dementyev, bronze medalist of Vancouver Olympics Nikolay Morilov, Russian champion in cross-country skiing and roller skiing Natalya Zernova. In addition to them 34 Worldloppet Masters were standing at the starting line.

Dmitry Kondrashov was the first to cross the finish line. Among women, Marina Chernousova showed the best time at the 50-kilometer distance. 13 athletes entered the finish zone of the 50-kilometer gold race at once. The top three showed one time – 01:59:32.
